Gamma Epsilon Alumni Association

Lighthouse Chapter Alumni Nupes

Who We Are

The Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. was founded on the historic campus of Tuskegee University on April 17, 1948. The chapter since its founding was branded “The Lighthouse” because it became a beacon of light within the Southern Province that shines a guiding light for young black men striving to achieve their dreams, goal, and success through the bond of our Great Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi. As an extension of the Gamma Epsilon Chapters guiding principles, contributions to the campus community, campus life and the improvement of young men affiliated with the chapter, the Alumni brothers of the Gamma Epsilon Chapter have formed the Gamma Epsilon Alumni Association (GEAA).

The goal of the GEAA is to bring together the collective voice and resources of the Alumni membership to actively participate in the growth and success of our university as both good Alumni men of Tuskegee University and Kappa Alpha Psi as well. As alumni, we have dedicated ourselves to improving the opportunities of the next generation of students and assisting in securing the financial future of our University.

“Our vison is to be a leading partner in the growth and success of Tuskegee University, to bring together innovative ideas and resources and to strive to be the most influential philanthropic alumni organization. “

The Mission of GEAA is to continue to uphold the defined Objectives of our fraternity:

  • To unite college men of culture, patriotism and honor in a bond of Fraternity;
  • To encourage honorable achievement in every field of human endeavor;
  • To promote the spiritual, social, intellectual and moral welfare of members;
  • To assist the aims and purposes of colleges and universities;
  • To inspire service in the public interest.

The TLF will specifically be established to provide an avenue through which Tuskegee alumni and friends may contribute financially to Tuskegee University. Gifts, grants, and bequests to the Foundation benefit present and future students by providing scholarship assistance and the general funding of the university.

TLF will be managed by a Board of Directors comprised of GEAA members with support of alumni and friends of Tuskegee University. The board provides direction for the three major functions necessary to carry out the mission of the Foundation:

  • Promote giving
  • Management and investment of funds
  • Allocation of funds
